Introduction

This degree is one of our most versatile and unique awards. It provides a fantastic benefit for those interested in Business, Music, Education and other disciplines, as it allows students to incorporate one year of tertiary study from another institution in their theological training. You will gain a Christian perspective on work and life, integrating your faith with knowledge and skills you receive from your chosen university.

You will be equipped with

Knowledge and skills to accurately interpret the Bible, its context, history, and modern day application.
Deep knowledge of the major theological tenets of the Christian faith.
A demonstrated ability to reflect on the relationship between your particular emphasis in your university course and the Christian faith.

Course Structure

The Bachelor of Christian Studies comprises 16 subjects in theological study, one year of full-time university study and a 5,000 word Integrative Studies Project. It can be completed in 3 years full-time or up to 9 years part-time.

Field Ministry

Learn valuable skills and principles for ministry through a practical internship in a church or para-church organisation. You will be mentored and supervised during the experience and have the opportunity of observing and participating in all aspects of ministry. This is an internship opportunity designed to enable the student to begin to develop a theology of ministry and to reflect on theological and biblical issues in ministry, integrating subject work studies with actual ministry in different situations.

Entry Requirements

Year 12 with ATAR of at least 65
Mature age entry for students over 21 years
International English Language Testing Service of 6.5 overall with 6.5 in each subtest for Non English Speaking Background students
