Introduction

Our Bachelor of Theology degree will lay a strong foundation for any pastoral or teaching ministry, equipping you with the knowledge and skills to confidently interpret the Scriptures, engage thoughtfully with the challenges of faith and life, and interact with a range of ethical, theological and practical issues facing the church. This foundation is built on Christ and an in-depth understanding of the traditional Christian beliefs, doctrines, and interpretation of Scripture.

Entry Requirements

Year 12 with ATAR of at least 65

Mature age entry for students over 21 years

International English Language Testing Service of 6.5 overall with 6.5 in each subtest for Non English Speaking Background students

Course Structure

The Bachelor of Theology comprises 24 subjects in total. It can be studied from a minimum of 3 years full-time, and up to 9 years part-time.

Learning Outcomes

Skills and knowledge to accurately and faithfully interpret the Bible.

A strong working knowledge of the Bible’s original authors, historical context, major themes, and theological developments.

An understanding of the impact of the early church and reformation on the Church of today.

A deep knowledge of the major theological tenets of the Christian faith.

The ability to lead, or pioneer, a Church or mission work.
