You will need your own transport as train stations and buses are not within walking distance. Set on an acre in a quiet, select area, there’s plenty of garden to sit and study. You need your own wifi and phone. There’s plenty of room for parking and visitors are always welcome. We have a strictly no alcohol or drug policy but we have two gorgeous Retrievers to relax with.

Position: Children's Ministry Worker
Location: Heathmont Baptist Church
Loading: Part-Time (20 hours per week)

Heathmont Baptist Church is a vibrant Church in the outer eastern suburbs of
Melbourne and we are seeking a Children’s worker to lead and develop our
Children’s ministry.

Initially 1 day per week, this position includes providing leadership and training
to volunteers serving in the kid’s ministry. The Children’s worker will be
responsible for curriculum, programming and planning a dynamic, creative and
engaging Sunday Children’s Church as well as oversight and development of our
kids outreach program called Kids Konnect.

The ideal candidate will have a passionate faith in Jesus Christ and have
experience working/serving in Children’s Ministries. They will possess a love for
children and an ability to effectively teach and lead children into a deeper
relationship with Jesus. They will be self-motivated, have shown themselves to
work well within a team and will be committed to serve the overall vision and
direction of the Church.

Heathmont Baptist Church is committed to child safety and healthy child
practices and applicants should be aware that those who enter the interview
process will need to have current police and working with Children checks
documents.

Kilsyth South Baptist Church

Position: Children's Ministry Worker
Loading: Part-Time (two days per week)

The role of Children's Ministry Worker at Kilsyth South Baptist Church (KSBC) is a key role within the church as children are greatly valued. Guiding, supporting, leading and encouraging children in understanding, hearing and learning the good news of Jesus Christ and what it means to accept Jesus into their lives. It is important that this is done in an environment that is caring, enjoyable and supportive of the children.
The role of the Children's Ministry Worker is to minister to primary aged children and work with those who lead Bible Buddies, Crèche and Playgroup. It is also important that they connect with the KSBC Youth Pastor as grade five prepare to enter youth ministry aged events.

Accounts & Payroll Officer (Part time – 3 hours per week)

Heathmont Baptist Church (HBC) is a vibrant church in outer eastern
Melbourne.

We are currently seeking a Payroll and Accounts Officer to administrate the
church’s accounts and payroll functions. This includes accounts receivable &
payable, bank reconciliation, preparation of BAS statements, report
preparation and staff payroll.

The successful applicant will have at least one year’s relevant experience in
accounts and payroll, preferably utilising Reckon Hosted Accounts.

As we are a Christian organisation, ideally we are seeking an individual with
an active commitment to the beliefs, values and ethos of the Christian faith
and a willingness to engage with the HBC community.
