Graduates – where are they now ?
MBI/BCV/MST graduates are scattered throughout the world serving in a variety of ministries including church planting, training leaders and support services (such as translators, teachers, medical staff, pilots, engineers). Many of these are long-term career missionaries. Many graduates continue to serve the Lord in Australia or their home countries (overseas students) in full time ministry or in their former occupations.
A little insight from one of our Alumni serving the Lord in Indonesia.
I came to BCV [MST] thinking that I would get the Biblical training I needed for my future work as a Bible translator- but I had no idea that God wanted to use this time to do so much more. What I experienced was the Lord rebuilding the foundations of my life and faith. As I interacted with His Word, and His people – students, staff and visiting speakers - and as I dedicated this time specifically to growing in Him, I found many of my values and understandings challenged, and the Lord began digging deep into my heart to reveal things that needed healing or working through. My heart, mind and eyes were also opened to the many issues of working cross-culturally, issues that I had no idea even existed before I started my time at BCV. I realise now how essential it was that the Lord was able to work in me this way before I left to work overseas. I needed to have my perspectives broadened so I would be able to work with Christians from many different backgrounds and cultures and leave behind my ‘Western Christianity’ and be open to see how God wanted to work in a very different culture. I needed to understand my brokenness and vulnerabilities so I could begin that process of healing and recognise the potential areas of struggle I might face living in a new environment. And I needed to have my head and my heart brought to a point where I understood that ultimately God wants us to firstly love Him passionately, and then to love others with the love and mercy that Jesus showed, more than He wants us to ‘do the right thing’ and have the ‘right theology’. God has continued to build upon these foundations, as well as the foundations of Biblical & theological understanding I developed at BCV, and has used them to enable me to weather the storms over the last nine years of ministry overseas, to be able to live among a community of Muslims and to truly love them, to work in close partnership with national believers as we translate His Word and to continue growing in intimacy in my relationship with Him.

Support our graduates in Christian Service
As students graduate and move into Christian service they often keep the College up-to-date with informative emails or prayer letters. If you wish, MST can put you in touch with graduates so that you can receive news and prayer needs. We would appreciate your prayer support for our graduates as they move into ministry through mission agencies, secular work or in the local church.
