Overview

Preaching has been one of the most important elements of church ministry down through the ages and continues to be so. The preacher sets the culture of the community, shapes the expectations of the people, sets the example for how to read scripture and gives direction for people’s lives. Preaching is also one of the key areas where academic training in bible and theology are applied.

The ability to communicate accurately, dynamically and effectively is important for all areas of Christian ministry and vital to formal spiritual leadership of any kind. From leading bible studies to preaching sermons in church, this subject will equip students to teach what they learn at every level.
