Course Structure

Overview

This program is designed for students who…

Are hoping to consolidate and enhance their areas of speciality explored through previous study or ministry experience.

Would like to proceed to new areas of professional and vocational expertise.

Wish to receive an introduction to the research principles and methods applicable to the specialised study of Theology.

Structure

5 compulsory core units including a 7,000 – 8,000 word project (1 unit), or a 14,000 – 16,000 word project (2 units).

3 elective units from any field.

Required Subjects

Students will have the opportunity to choose from core subjects in the areas of Biblical Studies & Theology, History and Philosophy & Ethics.

BIBLICAL STUDIES & THEOLOGY

An understanding of the current issues in biblical and theological scholarship is essential to any study of theology. These units will equip students with valuable knowledge for ministry or further study.

CHRISTIANITY IN HISTORY

Being able to interpret the past is a key skill in understanding the present. Christianity in History subjects will give detailed glimpses into focused aspects of Christian History.

PHILOSOPHY & ETHICS

Society is becoming more and more complex, often leaving Christians with a great deal of confusion when attempting to navigate current issues. Subjects in Philosophy and Ethics teach students to think through these challenges from a Christian perspective.

Electives Subjects

A variety of electives are available within your area of interest.

Research Project

In depth research in an area of interest discovered in your studies.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Ministry, Theology or other equivalent study.

Non English Speaking Background Students: minimum International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 7.0 with no band score lower than 7.0 in reading and writing or 6.5 in listening and speaking.
