Outbound is the perfect opportunity for you to get outside of your comfort zone and see how God is at work in different intercultural settings. Each outbound experience is a unique adventure led by a seasoned leader who will guide you through discovering a culture very different to your own. Don’t hesitate to take advantage of these outbound journeys to develop your ministry skills and stretch your faith in places you may never have imagined yourself to be.
This year we are very excited to announce that these trips are open to all students from all departments: MST English, Chinese and Eastern and we are excited in seeing our students serve alongside one another.
Can I get Credit for Outbound Experiences?
MST students can be given credit for each Outbound experience as part of a unit in Guided Spiritual Formation (GSF). You will need to enrol in this unit prior to attending one of the Outbound experiences, with each trip being worth 1 credit point. When you have successfully completed 4 Outbound experiences, and their applicable assessments, you will be given a pass for the GSF unit.
The unit tuition cost is divided across 4 Outbound experiences.
Note: Outbound locations and costs are correct at time of publication yet may change if circumstances require.
Ade Rickard Mission Scholarship 2018
Each year a scholarship is made available to help one of our students explore God’s calling to mission. In 2018, students can apply for funding support to go to Indonesia with Bernie Power or Kununurra with Peter Tyrrell.
$1500 for travel and expenses.
Applicants are to submit a 300-400 word short essay, explaining their heart for mission and why they should be considered for the scholarship for them to attend the place they wish to go.
