LA010 Intermediate Greek
Whereas New Testament Greek teaches translation skills, Intermediate Greek shows how a knowledge of Greek is used to (i) make key exegetical choices when faced with ambiguous meaning, and (ii) capture emphases in the text that are not apparent in English translations. By completing this subject students will increase their vocabulary range and also lay a solid foundation upon which to proceed to post-graduate New Testament studies.
This subject will require a time commitment of roughly 10-12 hours per week, which is made up of both lecture/in-class time and self directed study.
Assessments will be advised first week of class.
