Introduction
The Graduate Certificate of Divinity is a shorter version of the Graduate Diploma of Divinity, requiring only four units to be completed. The course is for students with a non-theological undergraduate degree, who want to engage in theological study and gain a stronger understanding of the Scriptures and the Christian faith. You will deepen your understanding of theology, Old and New Testament themes and context, the Church and its history, and acquire new insights for serving on a ministry team or in a ministry setting. You will gain the confidence and biblical grounding needed to serve the Lord.
Entry Requirements
Bachelor Degree in a non-theological discipline.
International English Language Testing Service of 7.0 overall with 7.0 in reading and writing and 6.5 in listening and speaking for Non English Speaking Background students.
ATAR score of 65 or above
Course Structure
The Graduate Certificate of Divinity comprises 4 subjects in total. It can be completed in a minimum of 6 months full-time, or up to 2 years part-time.
Learning Outcomes
- A broad overview of the Scriptures, theological themes, and historical context.
- An understanding of some of the major theological tenets of the Christian faith which underpin any coherent theological worldview and philosophy of ministry.
- An ability to communicate the core doctrines of the Christian faith.
- Skills in at least one pastoral ministry area.
