The content of the subject will enable you to engage both sensitively and with insight with the Qur’an, the primary Muslim text which represents the foundation stone of the Islamic faith. The subject identifies the major themes of the Qur’an and its impact on Islamic belief and practice, comparing these with the Bible and assessing from a Christian perspective.

Prerequisites and Exclusions

Time Commitment

This subject will require a time commitment on behalf of the student. If you are studying online you will need to commit to approximately 10 hours per week. If you are studying on campus you will need to commit to 3 hours of lecture time and approximately 7 hours private study per week.
