This subject provides a broad overview of the spread of Christianity from its earliest beginnings after New Testament times through to modern times. It explores the rise of the missions movement in both Catholic and Protestant Christianity. At least 2 particular geographical areas will be focussed on exploring the history of Christianity in those specific place. Lastly it explores the 20th century and the effects on mission of colonialism, nationalism, war, and the development of an Evangelical strategy for mission through the Lausanne movement.
