Unit Code: OT002-512
Pre or Co-requistes: None
This unit continues from Old Testament Foundations as a survey of the Old Testament. It seeks to give a historical and theological overview of the Old Testament, concentrating on a literary book study beginning with the classical eighth-century prophets (Amos, Hosea, Isaiah 1-39, and Micah) up until the end of the post-exilic period in 400 BC.
You will learn how any major part of the Old Testament relates to the whole in terms of its theology, its literary type, its historical location and its contribution to the story of God’s saving involvement with humanity and our world.
