This unit seeks to equip the student in the critical task of evangelism in the ever-changing ministry context of our world. Students will learn the biblical basis for evangelism in the Old and New Testaments, and how evangelism has been understood and practised throughout the church’s history. This uint will also help you to examine the complex relationship between evangelism and social action. You will learn to present and explain the gospel in a variety of situations, and how to answer the common questions that people are asking. There will also be opportunities for you to put into practice in a variety of situations the information that you are learning.
