Unit Code: PC031-812
Pre or Co-requisites: None
Gospel, Church and Australian Culture explores the challenge of being church in an Australian secular culture. This unit explores how culture works, and the necessity to comprehend the nuance of Gospel contextualisation within the mosaic of Australian society. It embraces the current reality of being church in Australia, and the displacement of Christianity by a secular world shaped by a modern/post-modern world view. It attempts to reorient participants into a mindset that sees the necessity of a missional approach to a Gospel proclaimed into Australian society by a church that embraces being uniquely Australian.
