Discover what it’s like to study at MST.
Are you considering a future in ministry or mission? Or perhaps you’re looking to deepen your understanding of Scripture and grow in your faith? Whatever your path, Melbourne School of Theology offers courses designed to equip and transform you!
Why come to an open event?
Whatever stage you’re at – just dipping a toe, starting to explore, or committed to finding some training – or you’re a church leader wanting to find out more about what goes on here – we’d love you to come to an Open Event so we can share our vision for training, introduce you to some students, and give you a glimpse into life at MST. Our Open Events are designed to help you think about the importance of theological training for ministry and to discover how we prepare people for the broad and deep demands of ministry.
What happens at an open event?
Get a feel for life at MST through teaching, community, and the spaces where students learn and grow.
Experience a Lecture
Sit in on a real class and get a feel for how we learn together. You’ll hear from our lecturers and see how faith and thoughtful study come together in the classroom. It’s a chance to experience the kind of learning that shapes both understanding and everyday life.
Join us for Chapel
Join us for chapel and experience a regular part of life on campus. Through Scripture, prayer, and worship, we take time to pause and refocus during the week. It’s a chance to gather as a community and be reminded of what shapes and sustains our life together.
Chat with Students
Take time to talk with current students about their experience at MST. They can share what studying here is really like, from classes to community life. It’s a great way to ask honest questions and see whether this could be the right place for you.
Meet the Faculty
Meet our faculty and get to know the people who will be teaching and supporting you. They are approachable, thoughtful, and committed to helping students grow in both knowledge and faith. It’s a chance to ask questions and hear more about your potential pathway.
J.W. Searle Library
Visit the J.W. Searle Library and explore one of the key study spaces on campus. With a wide range of books, journals, and resources, it supports both coursework and deeper research. It’s a quiet, welcoming place where students spend time reading, thinking, and preparing.
Explore the Campus
Take a walk around campus and get a sense of what it’s like to study here day to day. You’ll see our facilities, outdoor spaces, and places where students gather and connect. It’s a chance to imagine yourself as part of this learning community.
