"A Sin and a Scandal" Discernment and Christian Witness in a Divided World

Free in person and online

Ribbon

How is the church to reimagine Christian witness in a world that is divided? What obstacles must the church overcome in order to be Christ-like in our witness to the world? In this year’s Leonard Buck Lecture, Dr David HF Ng will offer insights from a missional reading of Paul’s Letter to the Philippians that will help us navigate these questions.

Event details:

Date: Thursday 30 October 2025

Time: 7.00–9.00pm (light refreshments from 7.00pm, program starts 7.30pm)

Where: MST Wantirna Campus & Online

This year, we are delighted to have Dr David HF Ng, adjunct MST Lecturer in Intercultural Studies as our speaker. Having lived and served across the UK, South Africa, Asia, the US, and Australia, Dr Ng brings deep insight into mission, church planting, and equipping leaders in today’s diverse and globalised world. Dr Ng will draw on Paul’s Letter to the Philippians to explore how the church can embody Christ-like witness even amidst division within the church.
