Public Talk Series
Between Two Worlds
THE 2ND GEN EXPERIENCE

Free | In-person and Online

This public talk series unpacks questions of identity, belonging and faith, and how churches, families and ministry leaders can better understand, disciple and empower the next gen.
Australia’s spiritual landscape is changing. While secularism is on the rise, with 2,000 churches projected to close by 2030 (NCLS), there is also growing spiritual hunger among new migrant communities. Their children, the second generation, navigate the tension between their parents’ culture and Australian society, bringing unique strengths and challenges. Traditional ministry and parenting approaches often do not meet their needs.
This series draws on global insights, with input from Third Culture Kids (TCK) Training, a US-based organisation specialising in cross-cultural families. Their Director of Research, Tanya Crossman, will lead the talks in both English and Mandarin, drawing on years of experience across more than 19 countries.
