Unit Code: LA010-812
Pre or Co-requisites: Yes
Qur’anic Arabic B continues from the foundation built in Qur’anic Arabic A. Students can enter this course without the normal prerequisite Qur’anic Arabic A if they have studied Arabic before and are successful in the Placement test. This course will give students a firmer grasp of the Arabic used in the Qur’an. It uses the latest methods of language acquisition and multi-input digital technologies. The approach to vocabulary is revolutionary, using only the most frequently-occurring terms and phrases used in the Qur’an. The major grammatical forms are completed in this course. This online program presents the material through instructional videos, provides practice through interactive worksheets, and teaches vocabulary through a computer/phone app using native-speaker voices. There are also weekly online seminars with the instructor to discuss any problems and to cover some new material.
Qur’anic Arabic is crucial for those who want to understand the Islamic worldview and to relate to Muslim people for the purposes of the gospel.
LA009 or equivalent – any students who have not completed LA009 (Qur’anic Arabic A) will need to pass the LA009 final exam with a score of at least 80%
