Unit Code: NT016-612
Pre or Co-requisites: Yes
This unit allows students to undertake a comprehensive study of the Fourth Gospel – John. The unit includes an introduction to the history of the interpretation of this gospel during the past 150 years and allows students to develop their exegetical skills by detailed work on the text of the gospel. You will also explore in-depth a number of its major theological themes, including eternal life, witness, the Holy Spirit, sacramentalism, and metaphors of the church.
This will enable students to be able to apply the teaching of the Fourth Gospel to contemporary Christian living and ministry practice.
