This subject will introduce you to the basics of Hebrew. It will help you gain perspective and understanding of Biblical texts in an original Biblical language.
This subject will involve the study of the first part of an introductory grammar, introducing you to the basic forms of Hebrew grammar. It will also involve the study of common terminology and grammatical descriptions, around 100-200 words of Hebrew vocabulary, and essential grammar issues that influence the understanding and translation of the Hebrew text of the Old Testament. This will enable the student to begin the translation of simple Hebrew texts.
