The term Evangelical is perhaps not a particularly label these days, but the content of this unit is vital for an understanding of the roots of Christian faith for many today. Starting back with the Reformation, it provides a broad sweeping overview of Christian history from an evangelical perspective. Covering such topics as what happened after the Reformation, the evangelical revivals of England the Great Awakenings of America, the rise of mission and colonialism, the issues of the science, gender, fundamentalism and Pentecostalism, it ends up with an exploration of evangelicalism in the world today and in particular the Global South.
