This unit is ideal for learning how to employ exegetical methods of modern critical scholarship. You will discover more about the church in Corinth: its foundation, the influences upon its life, and the theological and ethical issues reflected in the Pauline letters. You will also be able to evaluate alternative interpretations of the themes and theological teachings found in Corinthians. This unit also includes exegesis of the English text of 1 Corinthians 1–7, 11–15 (or a comparable block of chapters from 1 and 2 Corinthians).
