How to Apply

Introduction

The Master of Divinity is designed to provide graduates the opportunity to undertake study at a masters level by coursework, thus consolidating and enhancing their areas of specialisation enabling them to proceed to new areas of professional and expertise. It will equip you with all the skills knowledge you need to translate the Bible from its original language, complemented with a wide range of practical ministry electives.

Duration: Minimum 3 years, up to 9 years part time.

Structure

The Master of Divinity requires the satisfactory completion of up to 23 units plus a research project totalling 288 credit points. The research project is an in depth research essay of 8000+ words focused in the area of the student’s major. Full-time students will normally take a study load of 3-4 units per semester, and part-time students 1-2 units per semester.

Complete up to 5 units of your choice, including a Research Project, and at least 2 units at level 9:

The Research Project allows the opportunity to undertake sustained, in-depth research in the area of the student’s major. A student may wish to choose a longer Research Project (worth 2-3 units) if they wish to keep their options open for further study at Postgraduate Doctoral level.

Academic Qualifications

 

  • Successful completion of a 3-year bachelor degree from any field or equivalent.

 

Language Qualifications for NESB

 

  • Equivalent to IELTS 7.0 overall with a minimum of 7.0 in reading and writing, and 6.5 in listening and speaking OR 10 years in Australia with English being the language primarily spoken both at home and work.

FEE-HELP

  • FEE-HELP is available for all ACT courses for Australian Citizens and those holding special Visas.*

  • Enrolled students need to apply for FEE-HELP by the Census Date of their first semester of enrolment.

  • Continuing to receive FEE-HELP is dependant upon the student’s academic progress. A student must pass 50% of their units each semester to continue receiving FEE-HELP.*Some conditions apply – see studyassist.gov.au for more information.
